outdoor DIVAS and Skirt Sports showed their support and cheered on the runners all 26.3 miles of the race.
Bright and early our volunteers showed up at our Colfax water station. While many night owls were just heading home after a night on the town we were bright eyed and bushy tailed for the race to begin at 6 AM. We had a water and Gatorade station set up on mile marker 3 of the 2008 Colfax Marathon. As the runners came by we cheered and hydrated them on. We had so much fun that when the last runner went by at 7 AM we were reluctant to go home. So we didn't, we moved our operations to the near end of the race, mile marker 26. All of our running skirt wearing volunteers hooted and hollered; encouraging the near exhausted runners to the finish.
