The idea of betty bike gear started in 2003 after realizing that even some hard core riders and racers aren't always proficient at fixing their bike in an emergency. At several cross country mountain bike races I saw women walking their bikes back to the finish area. Why? Because they had a flat or a broken chain and were not prepared to fix it. They might have had the tools but using them was another story. Since then I have also seen multiple recreational riders walking with their bike or asking someone else to help them out. Those experiences spawned the idea to create kits that include all the tools needed and Step-by-step instructions with pictures. In 2005, I applied my background in the training industry and cycling experience to found betty bike gear. Each betty bike gear product comes with an illustrated, waterproof instruction pamphlet or instructions printed on the tool as appropriate. Venus Steel Floor Pump Just like with a car, a bicycle works better when it's tires are at the optimum pressure. Before you head out, check your tire pressure with the handy attached gauge and top it off as needed. Not sure what kind of valves are on your tires? Not a problem. This pump can inflate both Presta and Shrader valves. The instructions printed on the barrel will tell you which valve you have and how to inflate it.
